District Plan for Delay of Teacher Certification Requirements

Preregistration for Prekindergarten and Kindergarten 2026-2027 is now open. If your child attended Prek at Burkeville ISD he/she does not need to be preregistered for Kindergarten. To be eligible for Prek a child must be 4 on or before September 1, 2026 and qualify per state requirements (see Burkevilleisd.org for list of qualifiers.)  To preregister your child, please submit the following documents to Mrs. Stephens in the Learning Center. Office hours are 7:30-4:00 Monday thru Thursday.

1) Proof of district residency

2) Child's birth certificate

3) Child's social security number

4) Child's immunization records

5) Home language survey (supplied by school)

6) Income survey (supplied by school)

7) State ID of parent/guardian
