Public Notice of Intent to Apply for Federal Grant Funds
Burkeville ISD will apply for Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Federal Grant for the
2022-2023 school year. Burkeville ISD plans to use these funds to support the intent and purpose of said grant.

Title II, Part A |
The purpose of Title II of ESSA is to increase student achievement consistent with the challenging state academic stands, improve the quality and effectiveness of teacher, principals, and other school leaders; increase the number of effective teachers, principals, and other school leaders who are effective in improving student academic achievement in schools, and provide low-income and minority students greater access to effective teachers, principals, and other school leaders |

Planned usage of funds will be for professional and contracted services, teacher stipends in Math and Reading, supplies, and other operating costs. |
Title IV, Part A |
The purpose of Title IV, Part A, is designed to improve the academic achievement of all students by increasing the capacity of LEAs, schools, and communities to (1) provide all students with access to a well-rounded education, (2) improve school conditions for student learning, and (3) improve technology in order to enhance academic outcomes and digital literacy of students. |

Burkeville ISD will apply for Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century (Perkins V) and the Special Education Consolidated Federal Grants for the 2022-2023 school year. Burkeville ISD plans to use these funds to support the intent and purpose of said grant.

The purpose of IDEA-B Formula is to provide special education and related services to children with disabilities ages 3–21 to ensure that all students with disabilities have available a free, appropriate public education (FAPE) that includes special education and related services to meet their unique needs. Ensure that the rights of students with disabilities and of their parents are protected. Assist states and localities in providing for the education of all students with disabilities. Assess and ensure the effectiveness of efforts to educate those students. |

To supplement and increase services beyond the level of State and local funds expended for preschool students ages 3–5 with disabilities |
